Jordon’s Senior Photo Session in Rifle CO

Jordon is a beautiful young lady who currently attends Rifle High School.  She also works at an Assisted Living facility and just loves her patients.  She wants to go to college to be a nurse.  I know she’ll do great.  She’s also very outgoing and fun loving and makes for a beautiful subject.

Wedding at Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs

Tom and Becky live in the Denver area, but love Hotel Colorado, so that’s where they wanted to celebrate their very special day.   They’ve both been married before, but they wanted to go all out because they knew they had met the right person to live the rest of their lives out with.

They met on a bus traveling to their respective jobs.  Becky always took the bus (she works for the State of Colorado).  Tom always drove a car, but one day it broke down and had to be in the shop for a while.  He decided to take the bus.  Oh, those little decisions that make a huge difference in our lives!

They stayed in the Unsinkable Molly Brown room (it’s 4-5 rooms with a stairway going up to the balcony) which is at the very top of the Hotel Colorado.  Molly Brown was one of the survivors from the Titanic and the she furnished her room with all her own possessions.  I posed Becky under one of her own images in the same position.  Becky is also on the balcony at the end of the evening.

Sweet Little Sylvia with mom and dad

Sylvia's portraits taken at Karen Skelly Photography studio

Sylvia is such a cute and sweet little girl.  It was so much fun doing her portraits, along with mom and dad.  As you can see, they are a very “green” family.  Stacey (the mom) recently completed the triathalon in Glenwood Springs CO.   My favorite is Sylvia sitting on the floor in her tutu with the teddy bear.

Danielle’s Senior Photo Shoot

Danielle will be graduating in 2012 from Coal Ridge High School.  She’ll be moving on to Cosmetology School in Grand Junction after graduation.  She’s obviously well versed in lookin good!

Libby – What a Doll

Libby loved posing for the camera and actually wanted to get dressed up!

She’s so cute – I just loved working with her.

Engagement Session in Rifle CO

Seth and Carley met in college in Texas and are getting married 9/17/11 in Texas because that’s where most of their families are.   They wanted their engagement images to be taken in Colorado with the mountains and lakes and because they live here now.  Carley is a nurse at Valley View Hospital and Seth works in the oil industry.  He is one big guy and she is a tiny little thing, but they are really cute together.

Toddler cooperates during portrait session (well, mostly)

Waylon is one cute kid – he was one of the most cooperative toddlers I’ve had the pleasure to photograph.  The only glitch was when we went to Centennial Park and he was playing in the water features.  He slipped and fell and I wasn’t able to get a good image of him after that (unfortunately, it was at the beginning of our shoot in the water).  Oh well, we still got some adorable portraits and mom and dad loved them.  They’re getting the first one matted and framed (by yours truly).

Photography Is the Third Language — Use It to Say Something

Great Photographs tell a story – it’s of great importance for history, be it a wedding, a family portrait, a maternity, a new baby, or something happening in the world.

Travel Photographs

I’m not a professional travel/landscape photographer, but I love taking those images anyway.  Went camping and hiking at Grand Teton National Park.  Here’s some of the photographs I took.  It was so beautiful there (except for the mosquitos).

Wedding near Vail CO

Felix and Angela are originally from the Ivory Coast of Africa – they speak French there.  They both speak really good English and are currently living in the Denver area.  They came to the Charter at Breckenridge because they loved the surrounding mountains and beautiful aspen trees.  I was lucky enough to be chosen as their photographer and got to listen to some funky African music during the reception.  They loved to dance and had such a great time.  I haven’t edited any of the dance images yet.
