For those of you that don’t know, the Colorado Trail runs around 500 miles from Durango to Denver. So, Chavis and Regan came from Oregon to get married on the Colorado Trail and celebrate along with their families and friends and their dog. We all hiked up about a half mile to a rock right on the creek where they held the ceremony.
Regan was dressed in a beautiful gown that was actually her mother-in-law’s dress when she got married. It was perfect for a wedding on the trail. Chavis was dressed in some rather casual pants and shirt, but it was also perfect for a trail wedding. They were both barefoot for the ceremony, which was pretty cool. They were happily surprised with the chalk board sign I made for them and, of course, I liked it in the images.
Now for the fun part: After the ceremony, they changed into hiking clothes and started their trek all the way to Denver – remember that’s 500 miles of hiking over 14,000 foot peaks, thru rainstorms, wild animals, and lots of other fun hazards.
Flowers were from #BlossomFlowerShop in Durango, and the hair was from #lemonheadhairsalon also in Durango.
These are some of the images from the wedding. I’ll post some more in a few days.
