I was at a Chamber function the other day and was talking to a girl who got married a while back. She was telling me about her wedding, and said the one thing she regrets is that she didn’t hire a professional photographer. Now she doesn’t have any beautiful photographs to pass down to her children and grandchildren.
Unfortunately, I’ve heard this so many times that I want to warn future brides to really consider a professional photographer rather than a family friend with a nice camera. Camera’s don’t take the photographs, the artist does this. I was very sad when I heard this girl’s story (as I am every time I hear a bride tell me this). There’s nothing I can do to help, so it makes me feel really bad for them.
I don’t care which professional photographer you choose, just choose one. I’ve never heard anyone say they are so happy they didn’t hire a professional because their images are amazing. If you have used someone with no training that did a terrific job, let me know, I would like to see the photographs and tell me who you used (not specific names, just who they were to you – friend, relative, etc).
